When I first started lettering I would try to imitate the beautiful lettering I was seeing everywhere. Keep in mind I knew nothing about lettering. How hard could it be, right? Well it just wasn't happening for me...The problem was that I was missing all of the important steps I needed at the beginning. I'll show you what I've learned in the Hello Faux Workshop!

Faux calligraphy is a great place to start learning about lettering. No special tools are required so you can get started right away. There are PDF files for each lesson that you can print out and use.

One of the things I hear most often is that people don't have time to practice, so I kept each lesson under 10 minutes. You can rewatch the lessons as many times as you like, and go at your own pace.

Once you know and understand the basics, you'll be creating beautiful letters!
